The staff of the eye clinic have worked very hard again this past year. Each year, the number of patients seen and treated at the eye clinic continues to rise. In 2024, 7,500 patients were seen (compared to around 6,000 last year). Of these, 451 patients underwent surgery, 327 of whom were treated for cataracts. Below are a few grateful patients.

A ‘surgical camp’ was recently held again, during which 32 patients were able to undergo cataract surgery!

Over the past month, several students training to become driving instructors were given ophthalmological screenings.

“World Sight Day 2024” was celebrated. In the Sikalongo area, people, including school students, received eye screenings. In total, nearly 300 people were screened.

Looking ahead to the coming years, our goal is to make the eye clinic more financially independent. We also aim to treat even more patients. It would be fantastic if we could help at least 8,000 patients in 2025. This cannot happen without your support!

With your donation to Eye for Zambia, you can help ensure that patient treatments can continue. A donation to NL48 INGB 0007317224 in the name of Eye for Zambia is greatly appreciated. With just €14, we can already help one patient.
